Imhoff Park
We have started off 2017 with a new and inspired resolutions and the first being to establish a better balance between work and play. In order to make this a reality we decided to Google the top camps sites around South Africa and put them in our diaries. If you don't set aside the time to do the things you love you never will - so we are all booked and ready to get our camp on!
Our first destination was Imhoff Park, Kommetjie which is approximately 40 minutes from Cape Town. We took the scenic route to savor the beautiful views that Chapman's Peak has to offer which adds an additional 30 minutes to the drive. This is a laid back campground, as the describe themselves, but still well maintained and clean. The sites all have their own built-in braai [just bring a braai grid] and a 15 amp electrical point which can comfortably accommodate 3 couples/tents. Each of the sites are separated by trees and shrubs to try and provide a bit of privacy. The ablutions are well looked after and extremely clean [sigh of relief].

Our close friends joined us on our first adventure which was great for moral support whilst putting the tents up. Practice makes perfect!

Another great point about Imhoff Park is that Long Beach is located about 100m from the site so a relaxing walk was well enjoyed.

I think we have this camping thing down and can't wait to go again!
